Chapter 16 #29

c) Redwoods

The redwoods, specifically the coastal redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens), are the tallest tree species in the world and are found primarily in California. These magnificent trees can grow over 300 feet tall and live for thousands of years. Redwoods are known for their impressive height, thick bark, and longevity. They are primarily found along the coast of northern California, where the moist, foggy climate provides ideal conditions for their growth. The redwood forests are a natural treasure, offering unique ecosystems and some of the most awe-inspiring natural landscapes in the United States.
