Chapter 08 #23

d) Progressive Movement

The 1912 Bull Moose Party, led by former President Theodore Roosevelt, represented the Progressive Movement in its campaign. The party, officially known as the Progressive Party, was formed after Roosevelt broke from the Republican Party. It advocated for reforms such as direct election of Senators, women’s suffrage, and labor rights. The Bull Moose Party’s platform reflected the broader Progressive Movement’s goals of addressing social issues and promoting governmental reform.
