Chapter 09 #41

b) Hỏa Lò Prison

Hỏa Lò Prison, infamously known as the “Hanoi Hilton,” was a prison in Vietnam where American prisoners of war were held during the Vietnam War. Notorious for its harsh conditions and the torture inflicted on inmates, including many U.S. pilots shot down over North Vietnam, Hỏa Lò became a symbol of the cruelty of war and the resilience of American POWs, including figures like Senator John McCain, who were held captive there.
