Chapter 12 #36

a) Grover Cleveland

Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President of the United States, holds the unique distinction of being the only president to be married in the White House. He married Frances Folsom in 1886 during his first term as president. The wedding, a closely-guarded affair held in the Blue Room, was the first presidential wedding in the White House. Cleveland’s marriage, particularly his unique non-consecutive terms, adds an interesting facet to his presidency and to the history of presidential personal lives.
